Gold: City Park
The city’s biggest park is its favorite. For decades, the City Park in Pueblo has be playing host to Puebloans looking to picnic, toss a Frisbee or two or take in the animals at the zoo. The park packs a lot of stuff into its space and features historic architecture from the 1930s Works Progress Administration in many of its buildings. There’s the tennis courts, the zoo, fountain and the city’s parks department administrative offices. But the park also boasts an active swimming pool during the summer and one of the city’s best deals for families: the Kiddie Rides. Most rides cost a single, 25-cent ticket. A spin on the historic carousel or train will set you back two tickets.
