Gold: The Blocks
Pueblo’s quirkiest area served as its own municipality until 1886, when it merged with Pueblo. Overlooking the Arkansas River, and the south side of the Downtown area, the homes and buildings within the neighborhood boast some of Pueblo’s most interesting architecture. Brightly colored homes, over a century old decorate the streets, and the area is also home to Pueblo artist, Jean Latka’s clay studio. The neighborhood is now a part of the South Pueblo Historic Context Study.
