A hero can be judged by many things. Puebloans recognized the great heroic feats of two of the community’s Medal of Honor recipients and the small compassionate acts of one dedicated man.
The late Dr. Tony I. Oreskovich probably would not ever have claimed to be a hero, but many people saw him that way. Before his unexpected death in 2010, he developed a successful dental practice spanning 52 years. In that time he treated thousands of patients, creating their beautiful smiles. People said he did his job honestly and with compassion for people. He was a true family man and role model.
