Gold: Pueblo Levee Project

3.5 miles along the Arkansas River | Find us on Facebook

The Levee Mural Project started anonymously in the mid-1970s when the “Tee Hee” artists hand-painted their first large mural section of a fish off of the Fourth Street Bridge in the middle of the night. The fish remains a fan favorite. The levee mural has grown to become the  “world’s largest continuous painting” according to the Guinness Book of World Records. A group of dedicated volunteers continue to add to and maintain the artwork yearly.
